COUNTERFEIT ETHICS
What is an unpolluted source of ethics? Simply speaking, an unpolluted source of ethics is one that pours forth ethics that are reliable today, tomorrow and forever. Clearly, man alone is not able to develop an ethical source fountain that is not polluted. Where, then, can we find a pure fountain of ethical principles? Where can we find a source of ethical principles that will be true today, tomorrow and forever? I have the answer; but, let's first look at the current situation.
The ethicists that are dealing from a totally human perspective are very susceptible to being counterfeit. Why? They have that susceptibility because they cannot guarantee that the ethics they are espousing are reliable today, tomorrow and forever. The simple fact of their humanity makes this so. If our state of humanity precludes our being able to ascertain the validity of the systems of ethics we develop, what can we do? This is a very easy question to answer.
